Third Week
interface A
The next assignment consists of a creating an interface for the Academy, based on the new COVID-19 regulations, which, among other things, impose a minimun of 1,5 meters distancing from eachother.
This messy cluster of words shows my thought process as I tried to imagine the various different interactions a person might have when entering the Academy. Some interactions that came to my mind were people in the bathroom (touching doors, closed spaces, low hygiene), the stairs, the bridge, the piano and the cafeteria. My three choices after brainstorming were: spikes on objects people physically interact with everyday, a mannequin that occupies one of the two urinals (so to allow for only one person to go at the time) and the piano.
interface B
During this class, as teams we had to come up with an inventive and playful way to redesign the Microsoft Teams interface in a game-y (action-reward) way. Isabelle and I then decided to create a game where the professor asks some questions at the start of the lesson (maybe regarding some reading material handed out the previuos lesson) and who gets the questions wrong has to digitally "wear" a mask, made up of an funny emoji.
interface C
pdf
For this class we had to create some taskflows and charts to test our interface based on our persona.
Some of the feedback I got after having tested this interface was that the inclusion of the person's name could make the game a bit more personal and intimate, and that the sliders come more natural if positioned horizontally instead of vertically.
communication
For the typographical map of my room, I chose to focus on the geometric conformation of the ceiling in my room and the shades created by the passing of time and of light. The images that show the process and the final result are on the 'Giovanni' page on the 'Group system and communication' page.
representation
This week we had to do a further and deepened knolling into the different types and stereotypes in the grunge culture. This was a bit difficult beacuse the difference between the two was a bit blurred and vague. Upon further investigation however I was able to find out was the main differences between types and stereotypes. These are the answers to the questions and notes.
